Between Vietnam and China, relations in all fields are developing, and both sides endeavour to narrow the gaps and to gradually settle the differences. At this favourable juncture, the search for a negotiated solution to the question of the two archipelagoes becomes a necessity for the benefit of the peace and security of SEA.
This study is aimed at examining the respective positions of Vietnam and China to assess the eventual likelihood of successful negotiations between the two countries and to suggest an advisabel orientation.
