"...The pamanent missions of the People's Republic of China to the United Nation presents its compliments to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and, with reference to Japan's Submission, dated 12 November 2008 to the Commission on the Limits of Continental Shelf (hereinafter referred to as "the Commission") concerning the outer Limits of continental shelf beyond 200 naultical miles, has the hornor to state the position as followss:

The Chinese Goverment is of the view that, under the United Nation Convention on the law of  the Sea (hereinafter referred to as "the Convention"), States Parties shall have the right to..."

The Agreement says that The United Nations and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea each undertake to respect the status and mandate of the other and to establish cooperative working relations pursuant to the provisions of the present Agreement including: Cooperation and coordination, Reciprocal representation, Exchange of information and documents, Reports to the United Nations, Personnel arrangements, Conference services, Administrative cooperation, Laissez-passer, Budgetary and financial matters, Financing of services, Implementation of the Agreement, Amendments and Entry into force.

This Agreement is entered in 2005 by and among China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (Petrol Vietnam) and Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC), CNOOC Petrol Vietnam and PNOC (Parties) in which the parties signed a Tripartite Agreement for Joint Marine Scientific Research in Certain Areas in the South China Sea including ten articles: The Agreement Term, The Agreement Area, Financing, Seismic Work., The Joint Operating Committee, Subcontracts and Service Contracts, Mutual Assistance, Negotiation Term, Assignment and Confidentiality of Information.

 

This Agreement is entered on September 1, 2004 by between China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) and Philippine National Oil Company (PNOC). CNOOC and PNOC (Parties) in which the parties signed a bilateral Agreement for Joint Marine Seismic Undertaking with in Certain Areas in the South China Sea including twelve articles: The Agreement Term, The Agreement Area, Financing, Seismic Work, The Joint Operating Committee, Subcontracts and Service Contracts, Mutual Assistance, Negotiation Term, Assignment, Participation of a Third Party, Confidentiality of Information and Miscellaneous Provisions.

Status of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, of the Agreement relating to the Implementation of Part XI of the Convention and of the Agreement for the Implementation of the Provisions of the Convention relating to the Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and Highly Migratory Fish Stocks I.
